Branchline

Privacy

This page describes what the Branchline website and app do with information.

Website

The website does not use analytics. When you choose to download a release, your browser requests the release file from this site. The site may receive ordinary request metadata needed to serve the page and file.

App

Branchline reads local Git repositories on your Mac to show their history and status. The app does not upload repository data to the Branchline website. Git network actions use the remotes and credential configuration already set up for each repository. When enabled, background auto-fetch checks saved repositories at startup and every five minutes while the app runs. It does not pull or change local files. Pull, Stash & Pull, and Push happen only when you choose them.

If you opt in to app updates, Branchline checks for update information from its update service. Those requests include the version information needed to check compatibility and ordinary request metadata. Repository contents are not part of update checks.

For more details about local repository behavior, see the Branchline README distributed with the project.
